If you don’t get involved in the everyday business ofcleaning officesit can sometimes be a bit of a mystery as to who does keep office blocks and their environs clean and tidy. There is however much more to keeping public areas just clean and tidy. When there is environmental waste spillage, someone has to contact the local council – they then arrange for their hit squad to come out. It can be some hours between the spillage occuring and the rescue team to mop up. If it’s chemical or other dangerous stuff, the ara has to be officially cordoned off – usually the police do this. The clean up swuad have to wear protective gear and use very exacting methods to contain the problem and dispose of debris, soiled materials etc. safely and legally. All county councils have their version of these hit squads and codes of conduct for the implementation of their work. Good job. It needs such safety in times of emergency.
