Many folk may think that cleaning business premises is just like cleaning a home – after all, dust an dirt is much the same, wherever? Let’s take the obvious points first. Cleaning an average three bedroomed house with one lounge, dining room, family room and kitchen etc is vastly different from a space point of view to say a hundred bedroomed hotel with all its attendant public washrooms, bar and lounge areas, eating and food preparation areas. The latter will necesarily involve heavier industrial grade machinery to offer deeper cleaning and to withstand the amount of useage. Whereas in a domestic house, most areas just need dusting, sticky marks wiped off, bins emptying and then a really good long vacuum, a large commercial office or hotel will need a much higher level of cleanliness in all rooms. The latter requires commercial grade cleaning materials that are robust but safe for everyone to use and will wipe off more quickly. Commercial cleaners have even less time per job than a domeastic one. The hygeine levels in offices also call for more care – so many different hands handling equipment, speaking into telephones – these need greater disinfecting on a daily basis. Clearing the garbage away from commercial also needs thought – is there enough for a bulk collection each night or do the cleaners have to rely on the company’s usual waste collection service.
